From a historical Divnic Palace to a royal heritage hotel, King Kresimir is located on the main
town square in the heart of old Sibenik core – a minute walk from UNESCO-
protected cathedral of Saint James and just a few steps from Town Hall. The hotel is also
close to several noted attractions, around 500m from Subicevac Fortress, 100m from
Church of St Barbara and a 2-minute walk from Sibenik Town Museum.
Above the green reception door the Gothic phase of the facility is represented by the portal (15th century) coming out to the street stairs. The Baroque phase (17th – 18th century) left several windows of the southern façade. The most important reconstruction of the facility took place in 19th century when it was owned Pietro Zuliani (around 1855 he was the owner of one of the two pharmacies in the town of Šibenik). His initials “PZ” can be seen on the grid of the entrance portal/reception. There is an extremely nice painted room used for chamber music concerts on the first floor of the palace. Paintings can be connected to the workshop that painted the Šibenik theatre as well so they were created after 1870. More interesting historical facts and stories will be told by our team members while you are drinking your welcome drink.
